This is my second croc infra red flat iron. I need the dual voltage for international travel. I use the 1-1/2 inch at home, and the slimmer 1 inch now that I have chin length hair.
These Croc infrared flatirons smooth out my kinky hair with one or 2 pass, even though I don’t use high temperature.

I like the Croc design and feel for the most part, BUT it also feels "cheaply made." It is very light weight and the material or iron, itself just does not feel very solid to me. It does appear to perform fairly well...whether using it at 400 or 450, in which I don't routinely, but did try it out. I do not see that it makes my hair any more shinier than the Magnesium ceramic iron that I also own. The Babyliss brings out the most shine, but because its Titanium plates, I could only use it once a week (maybe)...otherwise it would be too drying and damaging to my hair. I have fine to medium thickness 3b hair, should currently at my neckline....longest ever was to my tailbone. I was hoping to find an iron and products to help achieve healthier strands and allow for extreme growth. Maybe in time the infrared ceramic/titanium plates of Masters Croc will be my answer. If not, I may exchange it for an upgrade, the Pico $299. The return/exchange policy was unclear to me. Will you please explain it to me?

Best flat iron I’ve ever purchased. It heats up almost instantly. Your hair has a polished look, you do not have to go over it 3 or 4 times to achieve a certain flat or curl; this iron does the work. LUV luv LUV this IRON

No basic instructions included in the box on how to operate the flat iron. How frustrating!! I am still figuring it out... how to set the desired temperature, how to stop the temperature from increasing automatically as we see the temperature climbing up on the digital display, how to activate/deactivate the infrared, what is that white light that keeps blinking? This is so silly that there are no basic instructions included in the box or on Crocofficial.com website.

Shiny and healthier hair. The only reason didn't t give 5 stars is because sometimes I see a dent mark line where I first start sliding Croc down and have to go over that again. I don't recall that with old iron. But it is amazing!!

I'm a seasoned stylist in southwest FL and I'm blown away by this iron! I'm half Korean half Costa Rican and I have a LOT of long wavy hair that never looks good flat ironed because of how dry and thick my hair is no matter what I've used. After using this my hair was silky smooth with just a 390 setting and it stayed that way even in the FL humidity!

I used a different similarly priced straightener for the last couple years that has been known to be "one of the best." For the purpose of this review, I will call it "G". Before G, I had a Croc. Somewhere down the line I started wondering which model of the G I was using before that had the control buttons for the heat settings, as the G I had only had one setting and didn't get hot enough for my thick, wavy hair. I also didn't have the ability to turn the heat down for the pieces around my face which are much more fragile which caused a lot of damage in the long run. I had completely forgotten that the straightener I was missing was a Croc until I saw an ad on Instagram for Croc and it all came back to me. I was already in the process of searching for a new straightener to replace G and tried at least one other reputable straightener brand I will refer to as "c". I immediately ordered a new Croc straightener, and I will literally never choose another brand again. The smooth, even straighten that it achieves and the ability to control the heat settings is crucial. "G" and "c" really do not stack up to what a Croc is capable of.
