Buying genuine CROC
We build our own tools. That is the whole argument for buying them from us.
Counterfeits and copycats exist because the product is worth copying — but a fake CROC is not a cheaper CROC. It is a different tool with our name printed on it, and it carries none of what makes ours worth owning: the plate substrate, the heater, the tolerances, the testing. It also carries no warranty, because we cannot stand behind something we did not build.
The short version
Buy from crocofficial.com or an authorized retailer, then register your tool within 30 days. Both are required. Buy anywhere else and no registration will help you — the tool is not covered at all.
That is not a threat — it is simply what a warranty is. We honour claims on tools we can trace to our own factory, and registration is how we trace them. There is no way for us to verify a tool that reached you through a channel we do not supply.

Anywhere else is not authorized — including other Amazon sellers, eBay, and marketplace resellers. Tools bought there carry no warranty whether or not you register them, cannot be returned to us, and we cannot verify they are genuine.
On Amazon specifically: the listing may look identical. Check the seller name, not the product page. If it does not say CROC PROFESSIONAL, it is not us.
What to watch for
- Websites that look like ours but sit on a different domain. Check the address bar reads
crocofficial.com. - Advertisements using our photography to sell someone else's product. Our images have been lifted and reused; the picture being real does not make the seller real.
- Emails claiming to be from CROC asking for payment or personal details outside a normal order.
- Prices well below ours. We set our own pricing. A steep discount from an unfamiliar seller is the most common signal.

If you already own a tool you are unsure about, send us where you bought it and a photograph. If it is genuine, we will tell you. If it is not, we would still rather you knew.
Reporting a counterfeit
If you have found a fake listing, a copycat site or an ad using our images, send it to info@crocofficial.com with the seller name and a link. We pursue these, and the reports we get from customers are how we find most of them.
