Warranty
Every CROC professional tool is built in our own factories and tested before it ships. Every tool carries a 5-year limited warranty against manufacturing defects — full coverage in the first year, and limited coverage for four years after that.
The short version
| Period | Coverage |
|---|---|
| Year 1 — full | Manufacturing defect → replacement. You pay $25, which covers shipping and handling to get the new one back to you. |
| Years 2–5 — limited | Send in the defective tool and take 50% off MSRP on a new one — the same model or a different one. |
| To be covered | Register your tool within 30 days of purchase. |
In both periods, getting the tool to us is at your cost.
Register within 30 days — this is the part people miss
Coverage depends on registration. A tool that isn't in the CROC Warranty Database within 30 days of purchase isn't covered, and a receipt on its own is not enough.
Registering takes a minute. Email info@crocofficial.com with:
- Subject line: your first and last name + your order number
- Your proof of purchase from CROC or an authorized retailer
You'll get a confirmation back. Keep it.
Received one as a gift? It still needs registering within 30 days of the original purchase date, in the recipient's name. If you're giving a CROC tool, register it before you wrap it.
Year 1 — full coverage
If a registered tool fails from a manufacturing defect inside the first year, we replace it.
You pay $25. That covers our handling and the cost of shipping the replacement out to you. Sending the defective tool to us is at your own cost — we'll give you the address when your claim is approved.
A tool is confirmed defective after assessment by a CROC-certified technician.
Years 2–5 — limited coverage
After the first year, a defective CROC tool is still worth something. Send it in and take 50% off MSRP on a new CROC tool.
- It does not have to be the same model — swap into a different tool if you'd rather
- The discount is calculated on MSRP, not the current sale price
- The tool you send in has to be a genuine CROC tool from an authorized retailer
- One trade per tool
What's covered
- Defects in workmanship — faults originating in manufacturing
What's not covered
- Misuse or accidental damage — dropping, mishandling, improper storage, not cleaning after use
- Normal wear and tear — plate scratches, product buildup
- Cord damage from pulling the cord or wrapping it around the unit
- Incorrect voltage — damage from use on voltage the tool wasn't built for
- Unauthorized repairs or modifications by anyone other than a CROC-certified technician
- Purchases from unauthorized resellers
- Removed labels or serial numbers — this voids the warranty
- Physical damage and tampering — this voids the warranty
Making a claim
- Email info@crocofficial.com to open a claim — do this before sending anything.
- We'll confirm your registration and eligibility, then send return instructions.
- Ship the tool to the address we give you, at your cost.
- Allow up to 14 business days for processing from the date of your claim. We'll email you at each stage.
Do not ship a tool to us without opening a claim first — unclaimed tools are recycled. If we don't hear back from you within 30 days of a status email, the tool is recycled as well.
We take shipped items only. No walk-ins. CROC is not responsible for items lost, stolen or unclaimed in transit.
Authorized retailers {#authorized-retailers}
Coverage requires a purchase from CROC or an authorized seller:
- crocofficial.com
- CROC PROFESSIONAL on Amazon — the only authorized CROC seller on Amazon
- Costco
- Ulta
- Walmart — CROC Official Authorized Store only
- Prostyling Tools
- Flingstyle
Tools bought anywhere else — including other Amazon sellers, eBay, and marketplace resellers — are not covered, and we can't verify they're genuine.
