How do I turn the CROC XL Plus on and off?
Press the power button once to turn it on; press and hold it to turn it off. When you first plug it in, the display reads OFF. That's normal: press the power button to start heating.
How long does the XL Plus take to heat up?
About 50 seconds. The numbers on the display climb while it heats and settle on your set temperature when it's ready.
What temperature does it start at?
It starts at 410°F every time you turn it on. Adjust up or down from there.
What temperatures can I choose?
270°F to 480°F in 10°F steps, 22 settings in all. It beeps once per press and chimes when it turns on and off. There's no temperature lock and it reads in °F only.
Does the XL Plus turn itself off?
Yes. It shuts off 60 minutes after the last button press, without a warning beep. Press the power button to turn it back on.
Is the XL Plus dual voltage?
Yes, it works on 100–240V (printed on the inner top side of the iron). You may still need a plug adapter for the outlet shape abroad.
What are the plates and cord like, and what's in the box?
